WA Richland
Richland
Richland's history is closely tied to the development of the Hanford Site, a key facility during World War II and the Cold War for producing plutonium for nuclear weapons. The city's growth accelerated as workers and their families settled in the area to support the Manhattan Project and subsequent nuclear activities.
Richland offers bass and steelhead fishing, beautiful and challenging golf courses, and a variety of activities. Richland’s waterfront has two marinas; docks and piers; a five-mile paved trail for walking, jogging, biking, rollerblading, and stroller pushing; restaurants and hotels with views; and three public golf courses. A state-of-the-art skateboard park and a farmers’ market await you in Richland, along with hotels boasting magnificent views and some of the best restaurants you’ll ever experience!
